Grupo VSPT lanzó su primer Reporte GRI

VSPT’s Sustainability Report was launched during an international seminary carried out last June 9th by the Wine Consortiums, occasion when we were awarded a certificate along other 22 wineries, for being the first ones to publish our GRI reports, in the context of the Sustainability Program leaded by Wines of Chile.
More than 250 representatives of the industry took part, along authorities of Innova Chile CORFO, Wines of Chile, the Wine Consortiums, and Ernst Ligteringen, CEO of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), who explained about this methodology and about how the GRI Guide constitutes a global language for sustainability. “Such a pioneering effort as the one undertaken by the Chilean wine industry, with voluntary reporting and a long term vision is a great opportunity”, stressed the executive.
Representatives of the Monopolies of Norway, Sweden and Finland, who came all the way to Chile for this activity, highlighted the good position of Chilean wine in markets increasingly committed to sustainable production and ethics.
This methodology’s reports, recognized worldwide, mean a great progress for the Chilean wine industry, because they reinforce this sector’s commitment with an eco-friendly production, which is also economically viable and socially responsible. The wine industry is the only one in Chile to count with a united program in this matter, this is, that each one of the companies which are part of it, has decided to report.
