Viña San Pedro lanza proyecto OCA

August 2011.- A few days ago, the launching of the OCA (Optimización de la Cadena de Abastecimiento / SCO – Supply Chain Optimization) project took place at Viña San Pedro’s Lontué plant.

About two hundred workers of the plant attended the ceremony, which was headed by some of the company’s board members, among who were the General Manager of VSPT, Javier Bitar; Operations Manger, Álvaro Parado; Administration and Finance Manager, Germán del Río, and CCU S.A. Quality Manager, Andreas Albert.

During the event, OCA Facilitator for VSPT, Adrian Riveros, explained the auditorium the technical and general aspects of the implementation of the program within the organization, and the way these practices help to improve work quality, regardless of the area one belongs to.

As for the General Manager of VSPT, Javier Bitar, he assured that “this is one of the company’s projects that make me feel most proud” and urged all of the workers to feel like protagonists and value their personal contribution.

Finally, the Maintainer Operator of the OCA pilot line at the Molina plant, Juan Camilo Navarrete, related an interesting testimony about his experience and his work team’s experience after the implementation of these practices.

After the ceremony ended, those attending it enjoyed a cocktail party during which they were able to share experiences and strengthen bonds among the different areas.

The OCA program is an initiative of the VSPT Group in its effort to achieve world class operational excellence.
