On the occasion of International Reducing Co2 Emissions Day, celebrated yesterday,  VSPT Wine Group shares its significant progress in its Sustainability Strategy, standing out as a leader in the wine industry in the fight against climate change.

Between 2019 and 2023, the company reduced its CO2 emission intensity by 14% per liter of wine produced, thanks to the implementation of more efficient and sustainable processes. Additionally, during this period, it self-generated 42% of the electricity it consumed, marking a milestone in its transition to renewable energy sources.

Looking ahead to 2030, VSPT Wine Group aims to achieve 100% of its electricity from renewable sources, advancing decisively toward its goal of Net Zero Emissions by 2050.

Recognition and Global Leadership

In 2024, the company retained its Gold Member status in the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), reaffirming its position as an international benchmark in sustainability. This recognition endorses VSPT’s efforts in areas such as product design innovation to reduce environmental impact, water management to ensure efficient and responsible use of water across its operations, a focus on biodiversity to protect key ecosystems in the regions where it operates, and waste management through practices that minimize waste generation and/or add value to it.

Through these achievements and initiatives, VSPT continues to strengthen its position as a pioneer in the industry, proving that a commitment to the planet can go hand in hand with excellence in winemaking.
