Leyda Lot 4 Sauvignon Blanc 2024 scores 95 points in Susie & Peter’s guide: Chile Wines of the Year 2025

In the most recent edition of the guide by Susie & Peter: Chile Wines of the Year 2025, Leyda Lot 4 Sauvignon Blanc 2024 earned 95 points, reaffirming Viña Leyda’s position as a benchmark for the production of high-end coastal white wines.

The report, prepared by British Masters of Wine Susie Barrie and Peter Richards, describes the wine as “a gem”, and comments: “(…) This is sourced from an individual ‘polygon’ in the El Maitén vineyard, exclusively planted to the 317 clone from Sancerre. The wine is made in a mix of (mainly) stainless steel with elements from untoasted foudre, concrete eggs and 400-liter French oak barrels. (…) The result is spectacular – evocative aromatics of pea pod, grapefruit and woodsmoke lead into a fleshy yet citric palate with a mineral undertow and elegant saline finish. Complex, impressive – and hugely drinkable. Next-level Leyda Sauvignon.”

Susie & Peter: Chile Wines of the Year 2025 highlights the 100 most outstanding Chilean wines identified in a rigorous blind tasting. In its second edition, this guide is continuing to grow its impact as an international platform dedicated to promoting Chilean wine, showcasing its diversity and quality to buyers, sommeliers and the trade press in the United Kingdom and around the world.
