Excelentes puntajes para La Celia y Tamarí en Guía Descorchados Argentina 2014

Thursday October 3rd, 2013

October 2013.- The scores were recently announced for the wines reviewed in the new edition of the Argentina Descorchados Guide, on sale this month.

Once again, the specialized Chilean journalist Patricio Tapia travelled to numerous Argentinean wineries and tasted thousands of wines. On this journey, he was accompanied by winemakers and agronomists from each winery and was able to conduct a thorough analysis of the most notable musts in Argentina.

Among them, three Malbec from the VSPT Wine Group Argentina achieved outstanding scores, two of which came from La Celia and the other from Tamarí winery. Without a doubt, these scores reflect the consistent work of our Argentinean winemaking teams and confirm all the positive reviews they have received on previous occasions.

2011 La Celia Heritage, 90 pts.

On the nose, this wine represents the maximum expression of elegance: ripe marmalade fruit, balsamic notes, subtle floral hints, and noteworthy toasted flavors. The wine opens with a sweet entrance and firm structure on the palate, followed by well-balanced tannins, alcohol levels and acidity, and a long finish.

2011 La Celia Elite, 93 pts.

On the nose, aromas evoke mixed berries and notes of graphite, black cherry, mocha and spices. On the palate the wine is extremely seductive: imposing and velvety, full of expression, with a long finish.

2012 Tamarí AR, 93 pts.

Intense, fresh, fragrant and complex on the nose, with notes of red fruit, blackberry, licorice, cherry, chocolate and red flowers like violets, combined with touches of hazelnut, almonds and cinnamon. The wine is juicy on the palate, delicate and elegant, with fruit that displays hints of sweet blackberries, chocolate, toffee and caramel. The tannins are both strong and long, with an extended finish.
