Aware of its educational role as a wine producer, VSPT actively promotes responsible alcohol consumption and has further formalized its commitment as a proactive player by publicly adhering to the Wine in Moderation initiative.

Wine in Moderation is an international programme dedicated to promoting responsible and moderate wine consumption as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Its goal is to prevent excessive alcohol consumption and its negative consequences by educating consumers about the benefits of moderate wine consumption and the risks associated with abuse

The key principles of Wine in Moderation include:

  • Education: Providing clear and evidence-based information about responsible wine consumption.
  • Moderation: Encouraging the enjoyment of wine in moderation, emphasizing that excess can be harmful to health.
  • Social Responsibility: Promoting responsible practices within the wine industry, ensuring that producers, distributors, and retailers act ethically.

This programme is supported by wine associations, producers and distributors worldwide and seeks to raise awareness among both consumers and industry professionals about the importance of conscious consumption.
