Finca La Celia host of the “Masters of Wine Trip to Argentina” in the Uco Valley

Thursday January 2nd, 2025

Finca La Celia, the Uco Valley’s first winery, was among the hosts of the latest Masters of Wine meeting in Argentina. The event was designed to highlight this wine region’s diversity and potential for producing ultra-premium wines.

The trip, organized by Wines of Argentina (WofA), was attended by 28 Masters of Wine from around the world, who toured Argentina’s main wine regions.

One of their destinations was Bodega La Celia, where the Uco Valley’s diversity was presented through a tour of the La Consulta and Eugenio Bustos areas. During the visit, the experts had the opportunity to explore the region’s different wine styles by area and soil geography, accompanied by a tasting of Bodega La Celia wines from these terroirs.

Following the vineyard tour, the 28 Masters of Wine took part in a tasting with local producers from the Uco Valley, which gave them the chance to discover the different wine profiles from this emblematic region.

With these activities, Finca La Celia is reinforcing its commitment to showcasing the attributes of its place of origin, situated to the south-west of Mendoza at 1,100 m.a.s.l.; a terroir that has allowed it to craft complex wines with a clear sense of place, thanks to the meticulous soil research carried out by the winery since 2013.
